For fans of The Bachelor Nation, Saturday night was a dream come true.

Fans cheered and screamed as former Bachelor Ben Higgins and Bachelorette Becca Kufrin walked on stage to welcome guests into a night of possible connections at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino.

Bachelor Live on Stage is a touring show where a local man is chosen to meet 10 local women and potentially find love.

Julian Del Gaudio was chosen to be Reno’s Bachelor. Del Gaudio is a local sports anchor and reporter for Channel 4 and Nevada Sports Net. Despite his not being a bad looker, he still has no luck in love.

In other words, he strikes out.

But on Saturday night, Del Gaudio had the opportunity to make a meaningful connection with one local bachelorette.

The Bachelor Nation had the intense wait of seeing who Del Gaudio would ask “Will you accept this rose?”

Contestants had to apply to be one of the lucky 10. They had to submit a video, headshot and what their interests are, and those who made it had the full experience.

Everything from the first impression rose all the way to the Fantasy Suites.

The group dates were mini games. The competitions included a compatibility test and a lip sync contest.

Fan-favorite couple Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon, and former contestants Annaliese Puccini and Vinny Ventiera were guests and participated in the compatibility test.

Kufrin’s fiance, Garrett Yrigoyen, a University of Nevada, Reno graduate, made an appearance on stage with the couple’s dog, Minno.

Hometowns consisted of a speed-round of questions from the Bachelor himself.

The crowd grew to like Jennifer, one of the contestants. She made her mark by sensually dancing on Del Gaudio during the Lip Sync battle and even revealed she was a little naughty.

During the Naughty or Nice “class,” Jennifer said her goal was to skinny dip in every ocean and sea, which prompted our local bachelor to say “Tahoe would be nice.”

Carly was another favorite who caught Del Gaudio’s eye with a front flip and sassy moves during the lip sync contest.

Despite Jennifer being a crowd favorite, Del Gaudio sent her home before the fantasy suites. The crowd grew upset, saying he had made a wrong move.

From there, Tyrah and Carly moved on to the fantasy suites, where they had three minutes alone with Del Gaudio. Both contests stole a kiss with the Bachelor.

Although it was just three minutes, the contestants found a way to make their mark. They revealed they obviously made out with Del Gaudio and hoped he would give them the final rose.

In the end, Del Gaudio gave the rose to Carly, who had admitted earlier that she did not think she would actually make a connection with the Bachelor.

Over the course of the night, Del Gaudio remarked on how stressful the show was.

At the end of the show, all the participants came back out with glasses of champagne to give a toast with the audience.
