The Hub University, located on North Virginia and 10th Street, is set to close Saturday, March 7. The Hub Coffee Roasters announced they have a new location at 131 Pine Street.

“It is with a heavy heart that I announced the upcoming closure of Hub University,” said Hub Coffee Roaster owner Mark Trujillo said in a flyer posted by the shop. “It is a hard decision to leave a spot we personally designed to fit the university environment. However, now is the right time to focus on better ways to serve our Northern Nevada community.”

Other Hub Coffee Roaster locations are opened in Riverside, Reno Town Mall and Pine Street.

“I want to thank our customers—from our students, professors, and neighbors—who have supported our vision in bringing a degree of coffee excellence from farm to cup unique to our area,” Trujillo said.

Kerri Garcia, the university’s director of communications, said in an email to the Nevada Sagebrush there is no current University Real Estate activity or involvement related to the Hub or its operation.
