A 7-0 victory is what the Nevada women’s tennis team saw against Stanislaus State in Turlock, Calif. on March 5.
All six Nevada athletes had a win in both doubles and singles matches.
For the number one doubles, Milka Genkova and Anastasia Luneva defeated their opponents 6-1. Gabriella Charalampidi and Cristina Moll Alles were numer two for doubles and won 6-0 in their match. Mariana Campino and Selina Turulja won by default in doubles because Stanislaus had no athletes to compete.
One singles match went into three sets and that was the number one’s Luneva against Amber Huk. Luneva won the first set 6-4, lost the second 4-6 and won the third 1-0. Turulja was undefeated in her match, winning both sets 6-0. Campino defeated the number three 6-0 and 6-1. Genkova beat Annabelle Mulick 6-1 in both sets of their match.
Moll Alles won her match against Alyssa Tay 6-0 and 6-3. Charalampidi won by default due to Stanislaus not having an opponent.
The women are 5-3 overall and have one more match until conference play. The match is against University of the Pacific at home on March 18 at 12 p.m. Conference play begins March 26.
