Nevada women’s soccer fell 1-0 against the Idaho Vandals at home on Sunday, Sept. 12.
In the first half there were no goals from both teams, despite having several shots. Idaho had five shots to Nevadas four.
After having a slow start, Nevada took a loss when the Idaho Vandals scored the winning goal. The goal was made at 68:11 by Savannah Foster and assisted by Taylor Brust.
Although Nevada lost the game, they still ended up with the most shots on goal (four), while the Vandals ended with two. Brooklyn Blake had contributed two and Taylor O’Neill and Emily Rich each contributed one. Foster and Tara Oper each had one shot on goal for the Vandals.
As long as Nevada can keep the ball rolling and continue to take shots, they have a better chance of winning in future games.
The next game for Nevada is an away game on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 1 p.m. against Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga, Calif.
