For most students, drinking in college is part of the experience. Whether you party hardy on the weekend or grab a few drinks during the week, the cost of alcohol can add up. Happy hour is a cost effective way of getting your drink on and a great way to socialize, while still having the hope of feeling like a normal person the next day. Getting a taxi or a ride from a friend is easier during the day as well.

Best

1.The Lil’ Waldorf Saloon

The Wal has happy hour on lock. With its extensive hard alcohol selection, 45 draft beers and themed happy hours, The Wal has done an excellent job of appealing directly to students since 1922.

Its happy hour is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily featuring half off house wine, domestic beer and well alcohol that doesn’t taste like lighter fluid, with an additional “$1 hour” on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 p.m. to11 p.m. where everything in the bar is only $1.

The Wal has happy hour specials on top of its usual happy hour deals.

MONDAY: Bottle Bonanza, when all bottled beers are half off.

TUESDAY: Two-cent Tuesday, when you can make your cocktail a double for two cents more.

WEDNESDAY: Whiskey and Wine Wednesday, allowing customers half off any whiskey or glass of wine.

THURSDAY: Tap Handle Thursday is half off all 45 draft beers.

FRIDAY: “Light My Fire” Friday, when any beverage with the word light or fire in it are half off.

Worst

The Wolf Den

Although one could argue the worst happy hour is no happy hour, The Wolf Den’s happy hour comes in last. The Den is so overly crowded during happy hour that the service is slow and it is nearly impossible to get a drink.
