University of Nevada, Reno student and Delta Gamma member Elizabeth Van Kleek passed away in her sleep Saturday, Dec. 6. The cause of death is currently unknown. An autopsy will be performed tomorrow.
A vigil was hosted at Delta Gamma’s Sierra Street sorority house in honor of Van Kleek last night. Several members of UNR’s Greek community changed their Facebook profile pictures in memory of Van Kleek.
Morgan Sanders, the president the UNR Eta Iota chapter of Delta Gamma, released a statement on the chapter’s Facebook page yesterday: “We are heartbroken at the loss of our dear sister, Elizabeth Van Kleek. Please keep family, friends and sisters in your prayers. ITB.”
