Gunshots were fired outside the Sigma Nu fraternity house on Ralston Street at 4:08 a.m. Sunday.

According to the University of Nevada, Reno Police Services Commander Todd Renwick, two unknown subjects were seen tampering with the Christmas lights displayed on the fence surrounding the Sigma Nu property.

When approached by two fraternity members, one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and fired several shots near the two fraternity members.

A press release issued by the UNR Police Services stated that the armed subject was described as a white male, 5-foot-10inches, 175-pounds with long blonde hair. The report also states that he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and had a tattoo on the inside of his right forearm. A second white male wearing a black beanie accompanied him.
