Club Festival
Club Festival is a free event on Thursday, Aug. 29 from 4-7 p.m. in the Quad. Several clubs on campus will have stands for students to interact with. The university has around 224 ASUN recognized clubs and organizations.
“I went to the Club Fair […]. Basically, I checked out a few clubs,” sophomore Emma Graff said. One of them was ultimate frisbee and I ended up joining that club. Freshman should check Club Fair out and see what it’s for. I benefited as a freshman because I got to meet new people.”
Running of the Wolves
Running of the Wolves is a traditional free event at Mackay Stadium on Friday, Aug. 30 at 3:00 p.m. All first-year students will lead the football team out and run across the football field. Participants will need a valid ID to confirm they are a first-year student. Students interested in the event will need to line-up 90 minutes before at the entrance. The football game will be against Purdue University.
Welcome Week Concert
The Associated Students of the University of Nevada is hosting the Welcome Week Concert on Friday, Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m. Rapper Lil Yacthy and Reno band Curl Gang will be performing in the Reno Events Center. Tickets are available for purchase until Thursday, Sept. 6 at 5 p.m. University students can purchase tickets for $25 with a Wolf Card at ASUN’s Central Station in the Joe Crowley Student Union. Tickets are $40 for the public.
