The men’s tennis team had one win and one loss in conference play on April 8 to 10. Nevada defeated New Mexico 4-2 and lost to Air Force 1-4.
First up, the Wolf Pack faced the Lobos at home on April 8.
The men lost two doubles matches and had one unfinished. Number ones’ match, Matheo Coupu and Delmas N’Tcha, went unfinished. Loris Zisswiller and Satchel Benn faced number twos and lost 2-6. Daniel Dudockin and Juan Batalla also lost in their match 4-6.
Out of six singles matches, the Wolf Pack won four. Coupu won in three sets, 6-4, 3-6, and 6-4. Benn also went into three sets and won 2-6, 6-1 and 6-4. Batalla and N’Tcha each won in two sets against the Lobos number two and three. Dudockin lost 3-6 and 2-6. Ambroise Marchand went into four sets but left the match unfinished.
The men won 4-2 against the Lobos for a third win in a row in conference play. However, Air Force stopped their streak.
Nevada did not win any of the doubles matches. Number ones and number threes lost and the number twos went unfinished.
The two teams played six singles matches. The Wolf Pack won one match against Air Force’s number two. Batalla beat Jonathan Mascagni 6-3 and 7-6. Coupu, N’Tcha and Benn lost their matches in two sets. Dudockin’s match went unfinished against number five Justin Walkdman. Zisswiller’s match had no result.
Air Force won 4-1.
The men are now 3-1 in conference and 15-7 overall. Their next match will be at home against Sacramento State on April 20, which is not a part of conference play.
