Nevada women’s golf tied for sixth place in the Mountain West Championships in Rancho Mirage, Calif. on April 18 to 20. 

On day one, two Nevada golfers tied for nineteenth place. Victoria Gailey and Leah John both hit 75, +3. Anitra Khoth hit over four at 76. Kayla Nocum hit a 79 and Kaitlin Fleiner hit an 81. 

Khoth improved in round two and tied for tenth place after she hit a 73. John and Gailey both went down into the twenties after they hit a 77 and 78 respectively. Fleiner improved to hit a 77 and Nocum hit an 80. 

In round three, Gailey and Khoth improved to tie for seventh place. Gailey hit a 68 and Khoth hit a 72. John shot a 74 and Fleiner had a 75. Nocum was the only one this round to hit in the eighties at 82. 

Gailey and John will compete in the NCAA Stanford Regional on may 9-11.
